This September, EffectiveSoft launched the Commit to Fit challenge, transforming everyday workouts into a joint experience. Colleagues across departments and countries split into 11 teams to stay active, motivate each other, and prove that effort feels lighter when shared.
For three weeks, participants tracked their progress to earn points for their teams. Every type of workout—walking 10,000 steps, cycling, gym sessions, yoga, swimming, or tennis—counted as one point, moving the team up the leaderboard. Some participants went above and beyond: one ran a half-marathon, while another took part in a martial arts tournament.
The combined effort spoke for itself:
- 3,000,000+ steps
- 200+ hours in the gym
- 700+ km cycled
- 480+ km run
But these numbers are just a part of the story. What really mattered was how people bonded. Throughout the challenge, coworkers shared advice, encouraged each other, and filled their chats with humor and positive vibes.
As the final week began, the competition intensified. The drive to win proved stronger than anyone had expected. Up to the very last day of the challenge, five teams were in a dead heat for first place, with none willing to give up. So, deciding on a fair way to determine the winners became a challenge of its own.
Just like in our projects, the best solution came through collaboration. The organizers involved all participants to explore and try out different ideas, ultimately agreeing on the wheel of fortune.
In the end, the top three teams won Apple Watches, AirPods, and Bluetooth speakers, respectively. No one was left out: the fourth and fifth places earned cash prizes.
Challenges like Commit to Fit reflect the principles behind EffectiveSoft’s approach: turn small changes into meaningful impact, strive for more, disrupt the ordinary in pursuit of something better, start with yourself, and inspire others along the way. A personal drive, amplified by teamwork, creates victories both in sport and business.
