Project background

The customer, (a European consultancy company, offering the business intelligence services for such domains as SAP-BW, Business Objects, mobile platforms, portals, etc) requested EffectiveSoft to develop a project for their needs. This portfolio project is a Time Management System and iPhone app for time activity management.

Solution highlights

Time Management System is a suite of the admin web-based system and iPhone app for time and activity management in the consultancy company.

The admin web-based system enables the company staff to manage customers (to whom the consulting services are provided), projects (workshop, training, leave, etc), users (company staff) and their time spent on certain activities.

Our expertise in the development of Azure-based systems and iPhone apps impressed the customer. So he delegated the project tasks to our team. We developed the system and iPhone app from scratch:

• The admin web-site is based on the Azure platform. The database uses Microsoft data storage services. The communication with the database is ensured via Entity Framework.
• Web services with SAOP protocol are used to provide the communication between the admin web-part and iPhone app. The web services and admin part use the common Azure business logic.
